The boss himself roasts coffee every day fresh and to perfection!

About us, Vee's Kaffee und Bohnen GmbH

The letter "V" in Vee's Kaffee stands for victory and is a homage to Sir Winston Churchhill (1875-1965), the former prime minister of Great Britain. Vee's Kaffee is a treat of the highest quality. Because we only roast hand-selected Arabica gourmet coffee beans from the best locations, so-called Grand Cru coffees from Indonesia, East Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America: 95% of the world's best Arabica beans for the finest aromas and blended with 5% washed Robuste for a stable, silky crema.

And back in 1999, since our successful inception, it was we who coined the term finest "Grand Cru coffee". Numerous imitators of the term "Grand Cru coffee" have followed us - whether the imitators have achieved our flavors in variety and quality is decided by the sensitive palates of our customers.

This is because only the Grand Cru coffee beans, which mature more slowly in high mountain regions and under excellent climatic conditions and are therefore considerably harder, are suitable for our very careful, intensive and significantly more aromatic roasting. This allows our coffees to fully develop their diverse aromas and all their characteristic flavor nuances. As a result, Vee's coffee has considerably less acidity, significantly more body and pronounced, long-lasting aromas. This is because the disruptive coffee acid (chlorogenic acid) has almost completely decomposed due to the longer roasting process. As a result, our freshly ground beans exude an intense coffee aroma that fully unfolds in the cup. A complete pleasure.

Vee's Grand Cru coffee impresses with its intense aromas and very low acidity

For the intense and regionally very characteristic aromas of Vee's coffee, we only use selected Arabica gourmet coffee beans from the best locations, which we call "Grand Cru coffees" when roasted. They ripen more slowly in mountainous regions up to over 2000 m, often under shade trees, for example in Indonesia, East Africa and Latin America around the equator, and accumulate significantly more sugar and fats, which are transformed into aromatic oils and caramel during roasting. This is because the world's best green coffees only grow in the higher mountain regions. Due to their slow ripening, the beans become considerably harder, bind moisture better and are therefore suitable for our very careful, more intensive and aromatic roasting. This is because roasting takes place in a steam atmosphere in which the beans slowly lose their water content of around 12%. The steam prevents the beans from burning during roasting and also acts as a catalyst in the formation of aromas and fats into aromatic oils. The harder beans of the highest quality ensure that our coffees can fully develop their aroma and all their characteristic flavor nuances. As a result, Vee's coffee contains significantly less acidity, more body and intense, long-lasting aromas thanks to longer roasting. For a stable, silky crema, we always add 5% washed Robusta, often also in organic quality.

Many of our customers have also published their reviews of our coffee on the Internet (Trusted Shops), stating, for example, that they generally find our coffees to taste considerably better and be noticeably more digestible due to their almost negligible acidity.

Vee's coffee is guaranteed fresh and has a shelf life of at least 2 years

Vee's coffee is not conventional "industrial coffee". Vee's coffee beans are freshly roasted by hand every day and then matured for one to two weeks in their sealed packaging.

This is because immediately after the beans have been roasted to perfection, the still lukewarm beans are packaged in aroma-sealed packaging. This is the only way to fully preserve the full aroma and unique fragrance. All our customers benefit from this roasting freshness. The coffee stays fresh for months in aroma-sealed packaging. The minimum shelf life is at least 2 years at room temperature or below. After around 6 - 9 months, the aroma slowly begins to fade. The aroma of the coffee does not deteriorate as a result, but you will gradually need more coffee powder to achieve a comparable intensity of aroma.

We roast our green coffee individually and by hand

Each individual Grand Cru coffee is roasted by hand in small batches of currently 15 kg in a 70-year-old and regularly maintained cast-iron drum roaster. The roasting process, i.e. the temperature and duration of roasting, is adjusted by hand for each type of coffee to achieve the best possible taste experience, and fine adjustments are also made depending on the weather and outside temperature. For example, we attach particular importance to adapting the roasting to the bean size: large-bean Mexico Maragogype with fragrant aromas bursts open earlier and requires a gentler roast, while a Guatemala Genuine Antigua with smaller beans needs more heat to fully develop its wonderfully chocolaty taste.

This is what our customers say about Vee's coffee at Trusted Shops, for example
